Practical Management of Food Allergies in Children
A practical one day course specifically and exclusively for dietitians
A collaboration between Imperial College and King's College London

Tuesday December 2 2008
Governor's Hall, St Thomas' Hospital

St. Mary's Hospital (Imperial College) and Guys & St. Thomas Hospital (Kings College) are hosting this unique collaborative study day specifically designed for dietitians by dietitians. The programme is also supported by doctors from the UK's two largest Paediatric Allergy centres. All areas related to practical nutritional management of the food allergic child are covered by a host of eminent speakers from around the UK. The study day is designed to follow the patient journey from diagnosis to food challenges, demonstrating how the multidisciplinary team can improve patient care. You will learn how to interpret allergy tests, implement elimination diets, choose hypoallergenic formulae and finally how to monitor tolerance. The emphasis of this day is on "practical management" and we are aiming to provide dietitians with all the necessary information to manage the child with food allergies.
